Mathematics Department

Our department believes in a commitment to the development of strong mathematical skills and critical thinking. We design our programs and evaluations collaboratively as a department. Most of our students follow one of these paths.

Students chose courses at the end of February. In order to assist students and parents in course selection, West Carleton Secondary School offers Option Sheet nights for parents to ask questions.

Extra Help

Any student struggling in a math course is encouraged to seek help from his/her teacher outside of class time. Students are encouraged to check with their teacher to see when he/she is available. It is best for students to start seeking help as soon as the difficulties arise. Please enquire about student and teacher tutors in the Guidance office.
