West Carleton Open House
Are you a student or parent of a student who’s preparing to begin high school in September 2023? Please come to our Open House on Thursday, February 16 from 6:30 - 8:00 pm.
We are hosting an in-person information night where parents and students can learn about the exciting pathways available in high school, ask questions, and interact with staff at our school. If you are a prospective or current student/family, we have information to share with you on February 16!.
6:30 - 7:00 - grade 8 students and families - join us in the Cafetorium to learn about course selection, graduation requirements and the many opportunities and supports available to you throughout high school.
7:00 - 8:00 - explore the school and talk to staff and students
We’re here to help students explore options, discover pathways, and develop the skills and characteristics they need to be successful in high school and in life. Visit our Going to High School page for helpful tips and resources on program pathways, course selections, and more.
Families can register their child online anytime by visiting the OCDSB Registration page.
Current Grade 9 - 11 students and families - tour the school between 6:30 and 8:00 to talk to staff and students about courses available to you as you get ready to choose your courses for the 2023 - 2024 school year.
Post- Secondary Information evening - 6:30 - 8:00 pm - representatives from Ottawa U, Carleton University, St. Paul’s University and Algonquin College - Ottawa and Pembroke campuses, will be in the library to talk to you about programs and campus life. This is a great opportunity for grade 11 students in particular, to think about the programs they will apply for the following year. Researching the prerequisites you may need now, will help with course selection for 2023-2024.
