The President of Carleton University's Actuarial Science Club is inviting students from WCSS to attend a question and answer event entitled "Real Students, Real Answers : Q&A Session". 

The event's purpose is to answer any questions for anyone interested in or accepted into the Mathematics or Statistics program at Carleton University and for the seniors of the programs to share their personal experiences. This is the chance for your students to hear from firsthand experience what it is like to be in university and how to navigate their university career, without the commercial aspect. Our panel will consist of upper year of both Bachelor of Mathematics and Bachelor of Statistics students. Your students can prepare their questions ahead of time, there will be an option, upon entry, for anonymous submission of them.

The Algonquin College Financial Aid and Student Awards office will be holding three OSAP application workshops for new students and up to one guest (parent, guardian or spouse) to assist them in completing their OSAP application. Whether they need to start an application, finish an application, or just have questions about their application we can help them!

The following dates apply to programs starting in the fall of 2020. The application process at follows an annual cycle, based on the academic year (August to July).
For programs beginning at other times of the year, please contact the individual colleges for more information about application processing dates.

If you are applying to a Private College or a College outside of Ontario, you will need to go directly to their admissions department to find out what they need for you to apply.  If you require a high school transcript please come to Guidance and we can help you.

Important Dates to Remember:

Early October 2019:

Apply to College.  You need your OEN number to apply.  You can find this number at the top of your report card.  Link to Ontario Colleges:  You may create an account and click this link to begin your application.

Once you have applied you will receive an OCAS application number. We do not have access to this number so keep this number for future reference.

October 10, 2019:

The deadline for applying to highly competitive programs.  Applications received and paid for on or before this date will be given equal consideration by the colleges.

Earliest date the colleges may release offers to applicants. Earliest date that applicants may confirm an offer of admission.

May 1, 2020

Applicants must confirm their acceptance of an offer of admission by this date. Log into your account to confirm your offer. Each college will determine the due date to confirm offers made after May 1. Check your offer letter for details.

Mid-June 2020

Earliest date that colleges may require payment of tuition fees to secure your spot in your program. Each college sets its own tuition deposit amount and payment deadlines.

If you have applied by the January 15th deadline then this is the recommended last date to submit university and program changes.

May  2020

The latest date you can expect a response from an Ontario university. This may include an offer of admission; a refusal; or a deferral, once additional information is received.

June  2020

Earliest date you may be required to respond to an Ontario university offer of admission and give a financial commitment (i.e. registration deposit, residence deposit etc).
