Guidance Appointments

Please note that the process for booking an appointment and the nature of those appointments has changed. Due to efforts to limit contacts throughout the school day, virtual meetings and phone calls will take precedence over in-person appointments. 


Google meets and phone calls are the only option for our OCVSS learners to meet with their guidance counsellor. 

Google meets and phone calls: Students will schedule these appointments on the days that they are learning at home rather than in-school.

In-person appointments will be arranged in some circumstances but only after a phone call or Google meet. In-person appointments will only be held on days when the student is at school with their cohort.  

Urgent matters (ie a risk to your or someone’s safety) - on an in-school day, alert your teacher and they will contact Guidance for you. On a home day, call the Guidance Office at 613-832-2773 X2015 during regular school hours (8am to 2pm). Outside of these hours, access 24/7 crisis support at: 613-260-2360 or toll-free at 1-877-377-7775.

BFO is a volunteer-run organization that facilitates free support groups for people who have suffered a loss.  The Youth Group has moved to a virtual platform and we meet on the first Tuesday of every month at 7pm.
